In the Works
What DeVries Media is working on. Current projects and clients.
DHL Worldwide Express
Symyx Technologies
Applied Biosystems
Bayer Corporation
DHL
Worldwide Express
For this international airline and overnight shipping company
we produce a regular employee communication, DHL News Network.
To make the videos interesting and credible, we created DHL
News Network with broadcast news magazine production styles
and values. Typically, editions are about 15 minutes in length
and include a number of stories from the US and abroad, reported
and written like news stories. The show has original music
behind the show opening.
Recently we have also completed a number of critical employee
communications videos and a revised new employee orientation.
Symyx
Technologies
Production of a new video introducing and describing
Symyx's extraordinary life sciences discovery tools is now complete. We began working with
Symyx in 1999 and their videos have
been shown successfully around the world in their marketing and sales
efforts.
In the life sciences, Symyx uses high-throughput screening to discover new
pharmaceutical compounds. It also employs high-throughput technologies to discover new materials in the chemical and electronics industries.
Applied
Biosystems
This company, which built the equipment to map the human
genome, is one of the driving forces in life sciences in the
world. We have shot in Foster City, Boston, Geneva, Seattle and
St. Louis
to produce B-roll, investor relations videos, and executive
communications to employees worldwide.
Our work with Applied Biosystems is an important example
of our ability to work with the complexities of bioscience
and translate both emotion and technical detail to general
audiences.
Bayer
Corporation
Our most recent video for Bayer supports a new biological
product manufactured in Bayer's Clayton, North Carolina facility.
The video was shot in Clayton and Cleveland, Ohio. Resources
from the production have been used as well in other projects
for Bayer, including on its web site.
As with previous projects for Bayer, we didn't just take
pictures of buildings and machinery, but we also found human
stories to emphasize the value and importance of the pharmaceutical
product.
Biotech consultant Kim Fish was point person for Bayer. She
says: "By working with the excellent professionals at
DeVries Media, we saved money, got our project done on time,
and produced a quality video which pleased scientists and
senior managers at our client firm. I have already recommended
them to others, and hope to have the chance to work with them
again."
